Tim DunnTim Dunn serves as Chairman/Chief Investment and Treasury Officer for the family-owned company JE Dunn. Started in 1924 and now in its fourth generation of family ownership, JE Dunn serves clients nationwide out of its 22 offices and brings in approximate annual revenues of $4.2 billion.

Tim oversees all real estate and investment activities for the companies. He supports numerous community efforts and sits on several boards at UMKC, including as a Trustee. He also serves on the boards of many JE Dunn subsidiaries and investments.

Mr. Dunn is a graduate of the University of Richmond and holds a BSBA in Accounting and a Master’s in Entrepreneurial Real Estate from UMKC. Prior to his current role, Dunn held various positions for KPMG LLP, Chubb Corp., and Hartford Financial.

Terry Matlack

Terry Matlack

Terry Matlack is a co-founder and Managing Director of VantEdge Partners. He currently serves on the board of directors of several VantEdge Partner portfolio companies including Allstar Construction, Enjet Aero, Bluemont Group, Vitaligent, and Luihn VantEdge Partners.

Prior to founding VantEdge Partners, he was a board member and managing director of Tortoise Capital Advisors, an investment company he co-founded with partners in 2002. Tortoise Capital managed NYSE-listed closed-end funds, open-end funds, private funds and separate accounts for institutional and individual investors primarily focused on the energy sector.

Terry has served as board member and senior manager in the finance, operation and development of several companies in the telecommunications industry, including cable television, cellular telephone, landline telephone and the radio broadcast business.  He graduated with a degree in business administration from Kansas State University and holds both a master’s in business administration and a juris doctorate from the University of Kansas. He is a member of the American Bar Association and Kansas Bar Association and earned his CFA designation (currently inactive).  In 2010, Terry was honored as the Kansas State University College of Business Administration Alumni Fellow.

He and his wife Cathy live in Shawnee, Kansas and have three children and five grandchildren.
